With Waves Web Design cPanel Hosting, it is possible to create entire backups of your website. This means you can package up and download files directly from your server to your personal computer.

This means that in the event that files become corrupt, your web site can be restored.

What backups are possible?

    Home Directory
    Email Forwarders
    Email Filters
    SQL Databases

This means that in the event that files become corrupt, your web site can be restored. We encourage clients (especially those with a Content Management Systems (CMS)) to make regular backups of your web site and download those backups to a safe place on your local computer.

Here's how to do it:

1: Log into your cPanel
2: Find the icon “Backup Wizard” and click on it

3: Click “Backup”

4: Select “Full Backup”

5: From the “Backup Destination” select “Home Directory”

If you want to be notified via email when the backup is complete type in a valid email address. Please keep in mind depending on how large your website is, backups can take a while to run. It’s best to be notified when your backup is complete so you do not need to keep checking for it.

6: Once the backup is complete, you’ll need to use FTP or cPanel’s file manager to download the backup to your local computer. To do this navigiate to the "Backups" in cPanel
7: Click on "Download or Generate a Full Website Backup"

8: Click the backup you want to download
