Casey Rislov Children's Author Website Design Project

Casey Rislov is a beloved children's author known for her imaginative stories and charming characters. The goal of this project was to create a fun and whimsical website that celebrates the launch of her fifth book featuring a new character, Rowdy Randy. The website aims to engage young readers and their families, promote the new book, and provide a dynamic platform for Casey Rislov’s literary works.

Our Contributions:

  • Design: Designed a playful and whimsical site that reflects the spirit of Casey Rislov’s children’s books. The design features bright colors, fun graphics, and an animated slider to capture the attention of both kids and parents.
  • Content Creation: Developed engaging content to highlight Casey’s new book, Rowdy Randy, including detailed descriptions, author background, and interactive elements to captivate visitors.
  • Image Editing: Created and edited vibrant images that enhance the site’s visual appeal, including book covers, character illustrations, and promotional materials.
  • Key Features: Animated Slider: Implemented an eye-catching animated slider to showcase the new book and its character, Rowdy Randy, along with other featured content. Fancy Image-Based Menu: Designed an imaginative and interactive image-based menu to make navigation both fun and intuitive for young users. PayPal Integration: Added PayPal buttons to facilitate easy purchasing of Casey Rislov’s books directly from the website, streamlining the buying process for fans. Pop-Open Video: Included a pop-open video feature to present book trailers, author messages, or other engaging video content in an interactive manner. Book Promotion: Created dedicated sections to highlight the latest book launch, including a synopsis, character introductions, and links to purchase.

The new website significantly enhances Casey Rislov’s ability to connect with her audience and promote her latest book, Rowdy Randy. The whimsical design and interactive features make the site engaging for children and their families, while the PayPal integration simplifies the purchasing process. The animated slider and pop-open video features bring the new book to life, creating excitement around its launch.
